Judge Horsly addressed the Rotary Club members Thursday and discussed some of the responsibilities of the Probate office along with future plans to improve the office.

Most counties have a 1 stop tag system, one of the goals of  the Probate office and the Revenue office is to combine needed personnel and equipment into one office and eliminate the 2 stops needed to secure new car tags and to offer a mail-in service to renew tags.

Winston county is one of three counties in the state to pay wages for Probate personnel out of fees collected, it is Judge Horsly's hope that this will change in the future and allow for employee retirement and insurance benefits.
